I am an avid reader. Mostly fiction and the occasional business book if it comes recommended by the right person. My forever default genre is science fiction though. And one place where I do discover new science fiction gems is reading.lol where Harper Reed (@harper) shares his reading adventures. How cool is that? It definitely made me read more. So time to give back.

But how? I used to have a Goodreads account but rather not feed the data monster all that willingly (They got gobbled up by Amazon. It is telling that you can not tell by merely looking at their site). So I set out to roll my own instead.

But I did not want to start from scratch. And it needed to be easy to maintain and update if there was to be any chance for me to actually use it for sharing my reading. Cue in Notion.

I started using Notion for lots of little things. It makes it easy to publish any page in your notebook. And any page can be a pretty feature-rich database!

So using Notion, it took me only a few minutes (really) to put together a pretty capable site to hold my book explorations. With tags, ratings, cover images, etc... And I have only scratched the surface.

Now anybody can follow my reading adventures. If you are a notion user you can easily clone the template and use it yourself.

I have only added a few book that were near my desk at the time. More to come.

Let me know if you have suggestions or make your own improvements. And do let me know if you end up reading anything from my little library. I love to discuss the books I read.
